PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display information of data obtained by a portable transmitting and receiving part by a comparatively large image display of a navigation system part without performing cable connection between the navigation system part and the portable transmitting and receiving part via a connector. SOLUTION: A composite electronic device is provided with an optical control part including a light emitting and receiving part 85 and a light emitting and receiving part 45 provided in each of the portable transmitting and receiving part 12 and the navigation system part 11. The composite electronic device is further provided with operation control units 60, 30 to make the optical control part selectively take a state that light emission from the light emitting and receiving part 85 and light reception by the light emitting and receiving part 45 of the light modulated according to the data obtained by the portable transmitting and receiving part 12 are performed and a state that the light emission from the light emitting and receiving part 45 and the light reception by the light emitting and receiving part 85 of the light modulated according to the data obtained by the navigation system part 11 are performed and to take a state that the image display part 36 included in the navigation system part 11 is made to display information according to the data obtained based on the light received by the light emitting and receiving part 45.
