PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent drop with time of the sealing force of a shaft sealing packing and make information about the time for replacing the packing. SOLUTION: This shaft seal part structure is such that a gland packing 21 is encapsulated in a packing box 17 in such a way as covering the periphery of an impeller shaft 13 which penetrates the packing box 17, wherein the encapsulation of the packing 21 is made in compression using a packing holder 18. The packing holder 18 is arranged movable in the compressing direction of the packing 21 and energized by a spring 28 in the compressing direction. With this energization, the holder 18 moves with the wear of the packing 21 to cause it to be compressed, which precludes drop of the sealing force. A sensor 31 is installed to sense the condition that the movement in compressing direction of the holder 18 exceeds the allowable wear of the packing 21, and in conformity to the sensing signal emitted eventually, the timing of replacement is informed by means of buzzer, lamp, etc. |
