PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain synchronization at high speed even with a device of low processing ability and to improve the confidentiality during talking. SOLUTION: When a control means 240 identifies a called terminal to which an incoming call request is made from a telephone network, the control means 240 selects a spread spectrum demodulating/modulating means in an empty state out of plural spread spectrum demodulating/modulating means 210, and a synchronizing spreading code is set in the selected spread spectrum demodulating/modulating means. The selected spread spectrum demodulating/ modulating means modulates the signal by the synchronization spreading code, and when a transmission/reception means transmits a signal modulated by the synchronization spreading code to the called terminal and is synchronized with the called terminal, the control means 240 sets a communication spreading code which is different from the synchronization spreading code and is characteristic of the called terminal to the selected spreading spectrum demodulating/ modulating means and communicates with the called terminal. |
