PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicular air bag device capable of opening a casing without scattering the breaking part of the casing after its breakage in developing an air bag by positively retaining a closed state between a casing member constituting the casing for housing an air bag by hinge connection and a cover member except for developing the air bag. SOLUTION: The cover member 40 of a casing C at its front wall 44 is provided with an engaged tongue part 44 (front wall side). Both the side walls 42 are provided with engaged tongue parts 43 (side wall side), respectively. A casing member 30 at its front wall 35 is provided with engaging projections 36 (front wall side) engaged with the engaging hole parts 45a of the engaged tongue part 45 (front wall side). Both the side walls 33 are provided with engaging projections 34 (side wall side), respectively engaged with the engaging hole parts 43a of the engaged tongue parts 43 (side wall side). In addition, the engaged tongue parts 43 (side wall side) have brittle parts 43b, respectively. The engaged tongue part 45 (front wall side) has brittle parts 45b. |
