PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect a pattern accurately by removing a print through portion outside a pattern section in the binary data obtained by means of a first thresholding means based on the binary data obtained by means of a second thresholding means. SOLUTION: A thresholding section 33 obtains binary data A by thresholding multilevel picture data DM with a reference threshold TH. Another thresholding section 32 obtains another binary data B by thresholding the picture data DM with a threshold THH which is higher than the reference threshold TH. Then binary data D are prepared by performing expansion process 35 and contraction processing 36 on the binary data B and binary data F are obtained by performing print through removing processing based on the binary data A, B, and D. Thereafter, binary data G are prepared by performing expansion processing 39 and contraction processing 40 on the binary data E and, at the same time, binary data H are prepared by inverting the binary data E and a filling pattern is prepared based on the binary data G and H. Finally, binary data K are obtained by performing pattern void filling on the binary data E by using the binary data E and void pattern filling. |
