PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain alumina-zirconia-silica fused refractories excellent in leaching characteristics of the matrix glass at high temp. and suitable for a glass melting kiln. SOLUTION: The alumina-zirconia-silica fused refractories consist of corundum crystals, baddeleyite crystals and a matrix glass phase and the chemical components are 30-70 wt.% Al2 O3 , 20-59 wt.% ZrO2 , 5-12 wt.% SiO2 , 0.15-0.60 wt.% Na2 O, 0-0.5 wt.% K2 O, 0-0.40% Li2 O, 0.05-0.80 wt.% B2 O3 , 0.05-0.80 wt.% P2 O5 and 0.05-0.50 wt.%, in total, of one or more selected from the group consisting of SnO2 , ZnO, CuO and MnO2 . |
