PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a bacterial cell body in culturing a bacterium having high nitrilase productivity by adopting specific culture conditions. SOLUTION: A bacterium capable of producing nitrilase, for example, Arthrobacter sp. NSSC 104 strain belonging to the genus Arthrobacter is cultured. After its logarithmic growth phase is completed, a carbon source, preferably a saccharide in an amount of preferably 5-20 times calculated as the whole carbon amount as much as the nitrogen source calculated as the whole nitrogen amount assimilated until the logarithmic growth phase is added to a medium and the culture mixture is aged and cultured to give the objective bacterial culture body having high nitrilase productivity. |
