Fibre cutter - with air or water flow to sweep fibres to side of cutting drum

The cutting blades reduce the nylon or 'Perlon' (RTM) tow into staple fibres of over 50 mm. length and a lateral flow of air or water sweeps the fibres to the side to prevent them clogging, balling or emerging as a matted material. The pressure roller forces the matter against the cutting blades on the drum, the cut fibres building up in the spaces between cutting blades, allowing the flow stream to operate on the bottom layer of cut material.
