PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a graphical user interface GUI system where it is not required to produce again an application interface (API) for graphic independent ly of kinds of graphic chips mounted on a set-top box STB. SOLUTION: A gate array FPGA 24 is employed for a graphic chip of an STB 1 and a graphic logic is mounted in the inside. A graphic library 27 called an MAUI that is installed on an OS-9 being a standard OS in the STB business field is adopted for the graphic API as a unified standard of graphic. Moreover, a GUI menu working on a director is in use and works on the API of the MAUI so as to attain diversion of the GUI menu among different models of STB1. |
