SOLUTION: A server 3 has a table that stores respectively image processing capability information of a plurality of facsimile type electronic mail devices 2 connected to a network and a retrieval means that retrieves the image processing capability information of the facsimile type electronic mail devices 2 of a destination from the table in response to an inquiry from a facsimile type electronic mail devices 1 of a sender.
