<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a production method of porous formed bodies capable of being widely used, for example, as formed bodies for water treatment or as a nutrient supply medium for the culture of aquatic organisms by floating the bodies on the surface of water, where the production method comprises mixing coal ash or incineration ash with cement to obtain a mixture and forming the mixture into porous formed bodies each having a large specific surface area, and also to provide an organism culture method, an organism culture system and a filtration system, each for use in an open system using the porous formed bodies. SOLUTION: The production method comprises: adding a hardening material, a weight-lightening material, water, or the like, to a powdery material contg. inorganic matter such as coal ash or incineration ash to mix then together and to obtain a mixture; forming the mixture into porous formed bodies; and curing the formed bodies to from the objective porous formed bodies. By depositing required substances for marine organisms on each of the porous formed bodies and placing the resulting formed bodies in the sea, the culture of marine organisms is performed, and further, the filtration of sea water, or the like, can be performed by using the porous formed bodies.</p> |
