LOCAL AND CONTROLLED EVALUATION OF PARTICLE FILTER, AND METHOD AND DEVICE FOR REGENERATION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate the local transmittance of a particle filter and the clogging of the same, and to perform proper adjustment by activating regeneration. SOLUTION: Measuring is performed for the temperature of a gas flow in an upstream side from a particle filter 1 having several sections placed side by side for the passage of the flow of gas to be cleaned. Then, a temperature in at least one of the sections of the particle filter 1 is measured. The thermal inertia of at least one section of the particle filter 1 is evaluated by relative temperature measuring or the relative measuring of local resistance with respect to the temperature in the upstream side from the particle filter 1. The local transmittance of the particle filter 1 is estimated based on the evaluation, and the particle filter 1 is locally regenerated.
