PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure rotation speed with high accuracy while further improving the speed, reliability and accuracy of forming a correction value. SOLUTION: A segment time during which a crank shaft of a multiple cylinder internal combustion engine 1 passes through a predetermined angle range is measured. In this case, a first correction value is formed in a coasting driving, and the first correction value is combined with a segment time so that deviations in segment time of different segments in the coasting driving are equalized. Further, another correction value is determined based on the corrected segment time in operations other than the coasting driving, and another correction value is combined with the corresponding corrected segment time so that deviations in corrected segment time in the driving without misfire are equalized with each other. |
