PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for easily opening the end face of a drum by a relatively simple constitution. SOLUTION: A cutter 1 for opening a drum wherein the apex of a cylindrically formed cutter main body 2 is formed into a sharp edge part 3 and a pair of non-edge parts 12a and 12b are formed opposite on parts of the apex of the cutter main body 2 and press members 20 and 21 for pressing the cut parts of the end face of a drum cut by means of the edge part 3 on both sides of a straight line connecting the pair of non-edge parts 12a and 12b are provided, is provided.
