PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a thermal recording material having good recording sensitivity, a recording traveling property, and preservability in a recorded part, moreover, scarcely causing a ground fogging. SOLUTION: The thermal recording body includes an undercoating layer containing a pigment and adhesive as main components on the support and a thermal recording layer containing leuco dye and developer, or the thermal recording body further includes a protection layer on the thermal recording layer of the thermal recording body, wherein 2,4-bis(phenylsulfonyl) phenol is contained as a developer. The pigment of this undercoating layer is an oil absorptive pigment or organic hollow particles having an oil absorptiveness of 70-800 ml/100 g based on JIS-K-5101. |
