PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the cost by enlarging the application range of one product. SOLUTION: A sensor control circuit 15 consists of a hybrid IC provided with a microcomputer 20. The microcomputer 20 is connected to a host CPU 16 through a communication line 60 so that the communication between them in enabled. An A/F sensor 30 outputs a linear sensor current signal being in proportion with an oxygen density in discharged gas in accordance with the application of a voltage commanded from the microcomputer 20. The microcomputer 20 is provided with a memory 20 which previously stores plural kinds of communication systems, selects one of the plural systems based on a prescribed communication system selecting signal and executes data communication with host CPU 16 in accordance with the selected communication system.
