PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for the injection molding of a phenol resin capable of obtaining a homogenous phenol resin molded article uniform in its curing degree and not containing air bubbles or the like with good productivity without using a reinforcing material and a metal-containing org. lubricant. SOLUTION: A phenol resin molding material wherein the surface layer of a granular phenol resin wherein a particle size is 50μm or more and heat flowability measured by a disc cure method is 60-180 mm is coated with a low surface tension substance with an m.p. of 30-160 deg.C in an amt. of 0.1-5% by wt. of a phenol resin compsn. is subjected to injection molding by using an injection molding machine equipped with a screw 1 having a heat part 2 wherein a compression ratio is 2.0-6.0, the interval with the inner wall surface of a cylinder 3 is varied and the resin stagnated on the inner surface wall of the cylinder can be scraped off at the most approaching position.
