PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give antibacterial and mildewproofing properties at the stage of beads before molding without pre- or post-processing or prefoamed beads by mixing thermoplastic resin foam beads or prefoamed beads with an aqueous or oily sizing agent dispersed with an antibacterial metal compound such as silver, copper, zinc or the like, charging the resultant mixture in a foaming mold, and heating it. SOLUTION: After a compound of an antibacterial metal such as silver, copper, zinc or the like is dispersed in a thermoplastic resin, the resultant dispersed material is comminuted to manufacture a fine powder like a powder paint. The powder is mixed with foamed beads or prefoamed beads of a thermoplastic resin or the powder is filled in a foaming mold while mixing the powder with the foamed beads or the preformed beads, and heated. Or, an aqueous or oily sizing agent dispersed with a compound of an antibacterial metal such as silver, copper, zinc or the like is mixed and dried while dispersing in a dry cold air so as not to lump-associate the beads to form antibacterial foamed beads. The antibacterial beads are filled in a foaming mold, and heated. Thus, pre- or post-processing facility and steps are eliminated, and antibacterial and mildewproofing properties can be given to an overall surface of a molding without leakage. |
