PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hot dip Al-Zn alloy plated steel sheet capable of stably containing excellent corrosion resistance. SOLUTION: In this hot dip Al-Zn alloy plated steel sheet containing 20 to 95 wt.% Al in a plated film, the ratio s/d of the average Al concn. [s] in the plated film surface to the Al concn. [d] in the dendrite parts in the plated film is <0.6. Preferably, the coating weight of the plated film is regulated to >=45 g/m<2> per one side.
