PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image with excellent quality with an extended dynamic range by preventing an image from being floated in white in the case that an object with high luminance is photographed where photosensing pixels with high sensitivity are saturated. SOLUTION: An S/H circuits 29, 30 and a subtractor 4 detect charges of high sensitivity signal charges obtained by photosensing pixels with high sensitivity, the high sensitivity output signals are given to a logarithmic amplifier 36, in which the signals are reflected on a level of a reset pulseϕRG2 so as to vary a clip level of the high sensitivity signal charge depending on a level of the reset pulseϕRG2 and the clip level is decreased when the charges of the high sensitivity signal charges are increased.
