摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To adjust white balance accurately even when a color of an object is suddenly changed by evaluating the color of the object based on a current gain and a 2nd color information signal. SOLUTION: R and B signals outputted from a signal processing circuit 20 are given to corresponding amplifiers 22, 23, where the signals are multiplied by a multiple ofαand ofβrespectively, and an integration circuit 28 and a CPU 30 integrate R' and B' signals from the amplifiers 22,24. On the other hand, no gain is given to a G signal and the G signal is integrated as it is. Thus, integral values IR', IB', IG are obtained. The CPU 30 divides the integral values IR', IB' with the current gainα,βrespectively to calculate integral values IR, IB of the R and B signals that are not multiplied with the current gainαβ. The CPU 30 controls the gainαβbased on the integral values IR, IG and IB calculated in this way.
