KARAOKE PLAYER WITH FUNCTION TO DISPLAY WORD OF PARODY AND METHOD FOR EDITING WORD PLOTTING DATA OF PARODY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a KARAOKE (accompaniment to recorded music) player capable of easily changing color change control information of a parody and editing the parody even at a place other than an installation place of a KARAOKE player. SOLUTION: Word character string information, display layout information and the color change control information as data in which color change start timing and color change completion timing for each character of words are directly or indirectly described are included in word plotting data to be an origin of a word image to be displayed on a display 39 by being synchronized with KARAOKE accompaniment. The word plotting data of the parody is edited based on the word plotting data of an original song by a user. The word plotting data of the parody edited via a portable recording medium is fetched by the KARAOKE player. When a requested song is played, the word image generated based on the plotting data of the parody is displayed on the display 39 instead of the word plotting data of the original song by the KARAOKE player.
