PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a printing material having high optical density, good image fixity, long preservation stability and stable spray characteristics and to provide an imaging method using the same. SOLUTION: This recording material consists of a colorless or hypochromic solution including an electrolyte, a surfactant, a water-soluble organic solvent and water and ink including pigments, an anionic compound, a water-soluble organic solvent and water and includes >=1×10<11> particles having >=0.5 μm particle size and 1×10<9> particles having >=5 μm particle size per liter printing material. Images are formed by thermal ink-jet printing with the recording material. |
