PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent high-temperature offset resulting from overshooting which occurs in the middle of a fixing member, at the start of printing. SOLUTION: A heater is not always lit up fully for the same length (for example, 1,000 msec) at the start of temperature adjustment. However, the temperature of a fixing roller is detected by a thermistor when printing is requested, a difference between the detected temperature and adjustment temperature is calculated, and based on the result of the calculation, lighting selection is properly made as shown in the chart. This makes it possible to minimize the occurrence of overshoots and eliminate the occurrence of high-temperature offsets. |
