<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the subject new established cell having ability of expressing an Na<+> independent glucose transport carrier, a P-glycoprotein, or the like useful for searching a medicine such as a central acting medicine based on blood-brain barrier permeation mechanism, a medicine targeting cerebrovascular endothelial cell disorder, or the like. SOLUTION: This new established cerebrovascular endothelial cell has an ability of expressing an Na<+> independent glucose transport carrier (GLUT-1) and/or a P-glycoprotein (mdr1a gene product) and is useful for screening a medicine such as a central acting medicine (antidemential agent, therapeutic agent for brain tumor, therapeutic agent for viral diseases and mental nerve acting medium) based on blood-brain barrier permeation mechanism, a medicine (cerebromicrovascular circulation improver and therapeutic agent for brain edema) targeting various receptors expressing in a cerebrovascular endothelial cell, a medium for targeting cerebrovascular endothelial cell disorder (cerebrovascular senile dementia and Alzheimer's dementia), or the like. The established cell is obtained from a mouse into which a large T antigen gene of temperature-sensitive variant SV40tsA58 is transferred.</p> |
