PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a nozzle plate of an ink jet head capable of readily manufacturing the nozzle plate wherein ultra-fine nozzle holes are arranged in a desired arrangement, the strength and water repellency can be enhanced and ink drops can be cut strictly. SOLUTION: A predetermined number of resin strings 13 each having a cross section shape corresponding to a shape of a nozzle hole 1a of an ink jet head are suspended such that the arrangement of the string is in agreement with that of the nozzle holes 1a. The circumferences of the resin strings 13 is treated by metal plating under the condition of the above arrangement, then a nozzle base body 17 is formed from the metal plated on the circumferences of the resin strings 13. The nozzle base body 17 is sliced and the resin strings 13 are removed from the nozzle based body 17, thereby forming a nozzle plate 1. |
