PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication device and its method, using a power line which can separate a superimposed waveform information signal from a compound signal obtained by superimposing an arbitrary waveform information signal upon a sine wave signal without distorting the waveform on a time axis. SOLUTION: If the constants capacitors C1 and C2, which maximally suppress waveform distortion of information waveform due to the influence of the impedance of a voltage transformer T are suitably selected by a power line basic model, where an item of a mutual inductance M of the voltage transformer T connected to AC power lines 400a and b and an item of a self inductance L2 are considered, and a signal superimposition device 320 is designed, the distortion of a desired arbitrary waveform can be suppressed maximally and superimposed upon a power signal. Thus, since it is possible to maximally suppress a pulse waveform of, for example, a step shape and to superimpose it on the power signal, a CDMA is enabled in power line carrier for transmitting information signal with the power signal of the AC power line as the carrier wave. |
