<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the mutual influence between neighboring data lines in an active matrix liquid crystal display. SOLUTION: In the active matrix liquid crystal display having additional capacitance lines C, which form additional capacitance of pixels Cs and which are arranged interlacedly with data lines D via an innerlayer insulating layer 2, a stationary potential is applied to the additional capacitance lines C to improve instability due to fluctuation of potential between neighboring data lines, by providing a shield conductive layer 10 which comes into electrically contact with the additional capacitance lines through contact openings formed on the inner layer insulating layer 2 which is formed in the region between data lines D of additional capacitance lines C.</p> |
