METHOD AND SYSTEM FOR QUICKLY ACCESSING GRAPHICALLY DISPLAYED TOOL BAR ICON THROUGH TOOL BAR ACCELERATOR

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to quickly access a graphically displayed tool bar icon by including a step or the like for displaying a related accelerator object including one or plural specified key strokes close to each visible graphic icon in the method. SOLUTION: A keyboard 26 is a part of a computer system 20 and a related accelerator object including one or plural specified key strokes is displayed close to each visible graphic icon. When the system 20 is started by a user, the system 20 starts the execution of an application function related to the visible graphic icon. Therefore the system 20 can quickly and efficiently access and select any application function without using a pointing device or searching an accelerator object maintained in a hidden area in a graphic interface.
