PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To Suppress the residual color stain of an image forming part and to allow a printer to satisfactorily exhibit its performance even when the proportion of ammonium ions is reduced by processing a transmission type silver halide color photographic sensitive material with a processing soln. for a silver halide color photographic sensitive material contg. a specified compd. so that the ratio of the absorbance of the unexposed part to the amt. of residual silver in the sensitive material is in a specified range. SOLUTION: A transmission type silver halide color photographic sensitive material is processed with a processing soln. for a silver halide color photographic sensitive material contg. at least one of compds. represented by formulae I, II, etc. The ratio of the absorbance of the unexposed part at 650 nm to the amt. of residual silver in the sensitive material is in the range of 3.0×10<-4> -1.50×10<-3> . In the formula I, Q is a group of atoms required to form an N-contg. heterocycle and R1 is H, 1-6C alkyl, cycloalkyl, amino or the like. In the formula II, R2 and R3 are each H, a 1-6C alkyl, hydroxy, alkenyl or the like.
