PURPOSE:To readily produce a molded article of boron nitride by compression molding B-trisaminoborazine or an oligomer thereof and calcining in an inert atmosphere. CONSTITUTION:B-Trisaminoborazine shown by the formula or an oligomer obtained by deaminating B-trisaminoborazine by heating to about 200 deg.C (preferably oligomer formation is stopped at a point of time when weight reduction reaches about 20%) is compression molded under >=100kg/cm<2> and calcined in a nitrogen flow by raising temperature in such a way that the rate of heating is 1-2 deg.C/minute up to about 200 deg.C, it is gradually increased to come to about 10 deg.C/minutes at >=400 deg.C and temperature is raised up to 1,800 deg.C to give a molded article of boron nitride. |
