摘要 PURPOSE: To compensate variance of dead time in laser machining and to obtain a desired machining quality. CONSTITUTION: A setting part 62 writes various setting values such as a reference value of dead time (TF) and a setting value of a lamp power in the prescribed storage area of a memory 54 in a prescribed format. A dead time measuring part 66 measures the dead time of laser machining based on a timing signal from a timing control part 64. A dead period discriminating part 68 discriminates a size relation, large/small, between the dead time measurement (Ti) and the dead time reference value (TF). A setting value selecting part 70, in accordance with the discriminated result, selectively read out either one of the two lamp power setting values (PAN), (PBN) for each shot (pulse laser beam LN). A comparing part 74 compares the lamp power measurement (P) with the selected lamp power setting value (PAN or PBN), and determines an error (er) between the two. A lamp lighting control part 76, based on the error signal (er), forms a switching control signal SW for precisely controlling ON/OFF of a switching transistor 34.
