PURPOSE:To obtain a new agricultural and horticultural fungicide exhibiting excellent promoted fungicidal effect and synergistic effect on various diseases infecting with seed or soil, etc., by combining a specific silicon-containing azole compound with 5-methyl-3-hydroxyisoxazole or its salt. CONSTITUTION:The fungicide for agricultural and horticultural use contains a silicon-containing azole compound of formula I [A is 1,2,4-triazol-1-yl or imidazol-1-yl; (n) is 1-3; X is H, halogen, phenyl, (halogenated) alkyl or (halogenated) alkoxy] [e.g. 2-phenyl-1-(1H-1,2,4-triazol-1-yl)-3-trimethylsilyl-2- propanol] and a 5-methyl-3-hydroxyisoxazole or its salt expressed by formula II (M is H or salt-forming metal atom). The compounding ratio of the compound of formula I to the compound of formula II is preferably 1:(10-2). The fungicide is effective for controlling plant diseases infecting by soil infection, seed infection or aerial infection over a long period by contacting action and systemic transfer action. |
