The invention relates to a molluscicidal agent which is especially suited for controlling aquatic snails, for example, in fish ponds or rice fields. The agent is comprised of a granular supporting material having a large thickness such as, for example, sand or ground limestone, and of a coating deposited thereon. Said coating contains metaldehyde as an active agent and at least one binding agent. The agent can be produced by forming a coating in conventional granulating or pelletizing devices, and the agent sinks quickly to the bottom when deposited on a water surface. |
