摘要 Two filter units (12.A.a-12.C.b) are arranged per level, forming flow channels (S1-S4) that ensure pressure drop and air flow rate are uniform throughout the filter device. - An air filter device comprises a parallelepipedical housing whose side walls (2-4) define an air flow path between its two ends (6, 7), and a number of identical, rectangular, planar, parallel filter units arranged one above the other at right angles to the flow path. Guide plates (13, 14) between successive filter units direct the air from one filter unit to the next and then out of the exit end of the filter device. Two filter units are provided per level, forming an air flow channel (S1, S2) in between, through which air reaches a pair of filter units in the level below. In the final level there is a flow channel (S4) for air filtered by all the filter units to exit the housing. Filtered air can also exit each filter unit level via flow channels (S3) so that it does not have to pass through all of the filter unit levels. All flow channels are dimensioned so that pressure drop and flow rate are the same in all of the filter unit levels.
