摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform power application, by computing the required quantity of heat calorie to a heating element accurately. SOLUTION: This water heater has a plurality of temperature detectors 5, 6, 7, and 8 which are provided to detect the temperature of water in optional position of each part of a hot water storage tank 3, a plurality of first arithmetic units 9, 10, 11, and 12 which compute the quantity of heat calorie required for heating, a second arithmetic unit 13 which computes the sum total of the quantities of heat calorie, a third arithmetic unit 14 which computes the required power application time to a heating element 4, a fourth arithmetic unit 15 which computes the power application start time to the heating element by the required current application time, and a controller 16 which controls the power application to the heating element 4. Hereby, the computation process of the first to fourth arithmetic units 9-14 is operated repeatedly until the power application start time.</p>
