Paint roller with reduced rolling resistance

The paint roller is composed of a cylindrical sleeve (2) having an external coating (3). Two synthetic bearings are fitted at each end of the sleeve. The first bearing (6) has an axial bore (8) and the second bearing (10) has a blind bore (12) which receives the end of the rod (5) of a frame (4). The blind bore comprises a deep flat bottomed groove with straight edges forming a housing for a split metal ring (15) having an internal diameter less than that of the rod.
