<p>Mechanical rig, for deploying a flexible reservoir within another container, comprises a hollow tube which can entere a restricted opening in the container and seal the opening with a flange carried on the tube. Also carried on the tube is a flexible bag enclosing struts which are suspended from near the top of the section of the tube projecting into the container. A suitable mechanisms can deploy the struts sideways to support the bag clear of the base of the container. Fluid may be transferred via the tube into the bag to compensate volumetrically for matl. withdrawn from the container. Used for maintaining a container under hydrostatic pressure while draining part of the contents. The rig prevents the flexible reservoir from sagging against the base of the container and thus perhaps trapping any of the outer fluid in folds of matl. which would prevent the fluid from circulating within or draining from the container.</p> |
