PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a camera used both for silver salt photography and electronic image pickup where taking an electronic still picture is prioritized and taking a silver salt picture is treated as auxiliary one, so that silver salt film is not wasted. SOLUTION: This camera used both for silver salt photography and electronic image pickup is equipped with a film exposure means 3 for exposing an object image on the silver salt film 2, and an electronic image recording means 6 for recording electronic image data corresponding to the object image on a record medium 5, and the silver salt picture and the electronic still picture are obtained by actuating both the means 3 and 6. A 1st detection means 4 detects propriety in obtaining the electronic still picture by the means 6, and a control means 8 inhibits the actuation of the means 3 when the 1st detection means 4 detects that the electronic still picture can not be obtained. |
