PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the perpendicular installation stability of a leveling rod and at the same time, enable a continuous measurement to be carried out by a plurality of surveying instruments from a wide range of angle by providing a leveling rod cover that can be opened and closed for covering the entire part of the bar code arrangement surface of the leveling rod and providing a bar code with the same pattern as the front surface of the leveling rod onto an exposed surface when the leveling rod cover is opened. SOLUTION: The leveling rod cover 12 for covering the front surface of the leveling rod that is made of the same material as a leveling rod is mounted to a body 11 of the leveling rod 1 for an electronic level by a hinge that can be rotated 360 degrees for a shaft 13. A bar code 2a with the same pattern as a bar code 2 provided for measuring a level is arranged on a surface 12a which is exposed when the bar rod cover 12 is opened, and the same bar code 2b as the front surface of the leveling rod is arranged also on a surface 12b to be exposed when the leveling rod is closed. Then, the bar codes 2a and 2b provided on the leveling rod cover 12 can be simultaneously measured from a plurality of directions with a plurality of surveying instruments, when the leveling rod cover 12 is opened at an angle that can be read by another surveying machine. |
