SUBSTANCE: gripping and cutting machine has tine formed as rectangle pivotally mounted by means of horizontal pivot joints 7 and provided with drive 18 for inclining sides 2, 3 of rectangle. Upper supporting prism and clamping hook with drive are mounted on rectangle upper cross-piece 4 and lower supporting prisms and clamping hook with drive are disposed on rectangle lower cross-piece 6. Eyelets 16,17 for coupling gripping and cutting apparatus to manipulator are rigidly joined to middle cross-piece 5. Drive 18 for inclining rectangle sides 2,3 in transverse plane of manipulator is made in the form of hydraulic cylinder, whose casing is connected with pivot joint 7 of lower cross-piece 6 and stem is connected with diagonal pivot joint 7 of middle cross-piece 5. Such construction of gripping and cutting apparatus allows trees inclined to any side to be gripped and cut.
