PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a weight of a display panel by making a bias angle defined by either a crossing angle between an extending direction of a 1st wire material group and the long side of an approximately rectangular transparent substrate or a crossing angle between an extending direction of a 2nd wire group and the long side of the approximately rectangular transparent substrate, whichever smaller. SOLUTION: Peripheral parts of a conductive mesh 5 sticking out of peripheral parts of a transparent substrate 2 and a PDP main body are turned in along the peripheries of the PDP main body. And, in the whole circumference of the laminated body of the transparent substrate 2, the conductive mesh 5, and the PDP main body, conductive adhesive tapes are provided so that they are adhered to the whole end faces of the laminated body and also go around the front and back edges of this laminated body, and are adhered to the peripheral part of the front face of the transparent substrate 2 and the peripheral part of the front face of the PDP main body. In this case, the conductive mesh 5 between the PDP main body and the transparent substrate 2 is arranged so that a bias angle θ becomes larger than 10 deg.. In such a manner, it is possible to prevent moire phenomenon caused by interference between a picture element pitch of the PDP main body and a grid pitch of the conductive mesh 5. |
