PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an ultrasonic inspection equipment which is free from the influence of the change of surface shape caused by wear or the like of the material to be inspected. SOLUTION: A probe for transmission 12 is equipped with a piezoelectric transducer 14 by which conversion between an electric pulse signal and an ultrasonic pulse signal is performed, a fixed shoe 18 and a movable shoe 20 for introducing the ultrasonic signal of the piezoelectric transducer 14 with a prescribed angle, and a housing 22 where the piezoelectric transducer 14, the fixed shoe 18 and the movable shoe 20 are housed. The fixed shoe 18 is fixed against the piezoelectric transducer 14 but the movable shoe 20 is turnable relative to the fixed shoe 18. The movable shoe 20 and the fixed shoe 18 are made of the same material, and as the material, material having a longitudinal wave sound velocity which is almost the same as a transverse wave sound velocity in the steel of a rail as the material to be inspected, is selected. |
