<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the electric resistance and improve the oxidation resistance by forming a rib containing a thermally foamed binder and an oxidation resisting material on at least one side of a porous base material sheet consisting of wet paper-made body. SOLUTION: As a porous base material sheet B, a paper-made body consisting of a mixture of a synthetic pulp, a binder and a synthetic fiber is used. The protruding part formation of the porous base material sheet B is performed by the rib forming method of forming a rib on the surface of the porous base material sheet B. According to this rib forming method, a plurality of rib layers B are desirably formed, for example, substantially linearly on at least one side of the porous base material sheet B. The diffusion of electrolyte or the release of a gas generated form an electrode can be enhanced by the formation of the rib layers A. Since the formation of the rib layers A makes the porous base material sheet B difficult to make contact with the electrode, the porous base material sheet B is hardly subjected to oxidation deterioration by electrode reaction.</p> |
