FIELD: inorganic chemistry, chemical technology. SUBSTANCE: method is based on pyrohydrolysis of ammonium oxofluorotitanate as titanium fluoroammonium salt. By the second variant ammonium oxofluorotitanate is suspended into magnesium hexafluoro-silicate solution. Suspension containing 0.5-8% of MgO with respect to TiO<SB>2</SB> is obtained, pH value of suspension is brought about to 10-11, precipitate is separated and subjected its to pyrohydrolysis. Invention can be used in production of finely dispersed titanium pigment for enamels, water-dispersed and polygraphic dyes, heat-resistant glasses, ceramics, piezomaterials and so on.
