<p>FIELD: leaching of nickel and copper from-nickel-copper matte formed in pyrometallurgical production of nickel by multistage process. SUBSTANCE: leaching is carried out by, at least, two stages under conditions of practical absence of free sulfuric acid, and use of copper as oxidizing agent at these stages of leaching of nickel contained in matte.
