The vacuum cleaner has an exhaust air filter mounted upstream of the outlet opening (6) to the atmosphere. The filter consists of at least two sections (3,4) inclined outwardly with respect to each other in an accommodating shaft (2). The accommodating shaft is expanded by a wall section (11) inclined outwardly at the same inclination angle as the filter sections.
