PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproducing method for an optical information recording medium, capable of continuously maintaining temperature for developing a mask phenomenon without continuously outputting a reproducing laser beam at high input state. SOLUTION: An optical information recording medium is provided with a recording layer in which information is recorded with high density, and with a masking layer which masks this recording layer as well as causing optical change through temperature changes, so as to essentially reduce the irradiation spot area of a reproducing laser beam 10 emitted at reproducing. In an information reproducing device in which a reproducing laser beam is emitted to the recording layer through the mask layer on such optical information recording medium to reproduce the recorded information, the reproducing laser beam 10 is constituted of the main beam 10A that forms an irradiation area 12 by continuously emitting a laser beam and an auxiliary beam 10B that intermittently emits to this same irradiation area, and these two laser beams 10A and 10B are superposed to form a high temperature part 13 inside the irradiation area, thereby reproducing the information recorded with high density. |
