PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a name input device for inputting a name inputted with reading KANA while converting it to Roman letters. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a name dictionary 11 for managing the relation of correspondence between the name written with KANJI and the reading KANA and managing reading KANA attribute information showing necessity or unnecessity of specified Roman letter conversion for each character of reading KANA, retrieval means 14 for retrieving the name instructed by the inputted reading KANA by retrieving the name dictionary 11 and for acquiring the reading KANA attribute information of that name, selection means 15 for selecting one of names retrieved by the retrieval means 14 and conversion means 16 for converting the inputted reading KANA to Roman letters while performing the specified Roman letter conversion according to the instruction of the reading KANA attribute information of the name selected by the selection means 15. |
