FIELD: wood- pulp and paper industry; manufacture of paper with surface treatment, both pigmented and non-pigmented. SUBSTANCE: method includes mixing high-molecular and low-molecular starch and applying this mixture on paper base. Starch obtained through processing high- molecular starch by ionizing radiation at dose of absorbed power of 0.1 to 40 Mrad is used as low-molecular starch. These components are mixed at ratio of starting high-molecular starch and low-molecular starch from 1:20 to 20:1. Mixture is applied on base paper on one or on both sides.
